InNijmegenI have started to re-visit the area where i lived and worked until 1989, but I had felt tempted to leave since 1986. A dear friend and colleague, Frank bezemer, pointed me to an event in which a report about the regional creative industry was presented, along with projects. The most ambitious project is fiftytwodegrees in Nijmegen, where Philips and other companies build a 'knowledge centre'.In this context I wish to present 'how technology affects and changes our lives'. For now, I have produced a brief report with findings and a picture to create a 'playground' for new technologies and media art, in which innovation and interaction, but also social relavance and creativity are imperative. Also, I think there are opportunities for new media production and services. The plan is to create a new media presentation which highlights the strengths to create a cultural hotspot in the city.
