Dear Sirs,
I am writing you this email to officialy inform you of the status of our project that is kindly supported by Dutch Embassy in Zagreb. As you have in your records we have had a plan to host: Walter Van Der Cruijsen, independent artist Nathalie Muller, project manager of V2_ Institute for unstable media and Guy Van Belle, independent artists who worked with V2_
However due to the changes made within V2_ our plans for September 2002 previously made with Nat Muller were changed as she no longer works for V2. We have meanwhille contacted Alex Adriaansens manager of V2_ and have agrred on reschadualing the event for third week of March in 2003 (as this is the earliest time possible). I hope that this is ok with you and that this will not be a problem for your administration.
Attached to this I am sending you a report of the programs done with Walter Van Der Cruijsen earlier this year.

Report of programs conducted during the stay of Walter Van Der Cruijsen in the "residency program" of Multimedia Institute.
During the residency period Walter Van Der Cruijsen was helping in coordinating international guests for New Media Culture Week and has spent some time producing his joint performance with Japanese media theorist Keiko Sei which was performed at the conference. He also conducted practical workshop in web technologies (focusing on Wiki technology).
Workshop: World of WikiWiki (or introduction to efficient networking and bidirectional hypermedia)
Time: 20-21.4.2002 from 10am to 01pm
Location: net.cultural center "mama" in Preradoviceva 18. Zagreb
Participants: memebers of Multimedia Institute and partner organisations who develop programs jointly and therefore need a tol to easily publish date and inform each other of new activities.
Program: workshop was conducted as a short presentation demo and hands on tutorial for publishing on internet in the bidirectional hypermedia system called WikiWiki (Hawaian word for "fast/quick"). Walter Van Der Cruijsen has started presentation with historical overview of the development and cultural impact of web for early net communities. Some of the most important infrastructural nodes (including his own www.desk.org) have been setup to support wiki technology. In the following practical work he shoed how to do simple webpages, than how to connect tham internalyinto meaningfull structure and produce database like invironment. He also showed some of the best practices in use.
Benefit: As a long term benefit of this activity a big number of users are now managing their websites through wiki system and since Walter Van Der Cruijsen did similar workshops in Novi Sad and Ljubljana, we now also have our partner institutions from these two cities using the sam e technology for joint development of our future "a.network" concept.
