Hi again!

I am glad you find the project proposal satisfactory
as I spent most of the Sunday trying to write it properly ;)

This was just to get me in the write state of mind for writing
grant application for US AID (June 27th for infrastructure grant)
and Daniel Langlois Fundation (deadline July 1st for support
of media lab production in 2003).

For the both I would use references to the successful projects
we achieved including New Media Culture Week of course.
Would you please send us a recommendation in these regards mentioning
our joint project and our future plans.

I propose the sketch of the recommendations but please don't
hesitate to adapt it and change it in according to your views
(after all it is something that should be state your perspective).

To whom it may concern

On behalf of Goethe Institute-Internationes, Zagreb I would like to recommend
Multimedia Institute in Zagreb as outstanding young NGO with who we have
had a chance to work on the fairly big project of organizing New Media Culture Week (May2002). This project was first bigger grouping of the digital art, electronic music, media theory and tactical media scene in Croatia. Under the concept of "CRITICAL UPGRADE", which questioned issues of development of society through the technological and informational advancement.

As our main focus is to approach youth we find their work and the community
they established with net.culture center "mama" very interesting for approaching
this audience. Therefore we are planning continuous collaboration through organization
of public presentations, educational workshops and seminars, artistic productions and
exhibitions. We look forward to establish a strong platform which would engage local
public into global contemporary discourses.
Our guests in Croatia and colleague from Germany who work in this field have also
confirmed the high level of the work Multimedia Institute is doing in Croatia.

Helping this organization sustain in the non-profit sector is also a strong support to the
overall development of Croatian society which is going through dynamic transitions which
makes it hard for non-profits to sustain and prosper. Their advocating and policy work is
helping strengthen and structure the overall non-profit field while supporting it in information technology and media services.
