it would be wonderful to put on an event that really focused on making a series of workshops that were the best workshops that we could imagine..so often i think these things are an 'add-on' to the main event and dont really get the time and resources that they really require to be a success...so my proposal would be that we think about an 'uber-workshop' event...something that would really inspire those that work hands-on in the field of new media art/culture/activism and covering both introductry and 'high-end' topics such a list might start something like this: How to Build a Radio Transmitter Tetsuo Kogawa Introduction to Streaming Zvonimir Campware I : Using a Campware CMS Micz Flor Campware II : Installing a Campware Server Micz Flor Build Your Own Wikki Walter van de Crusijen An introduction to LinuxBuild Your Own Wireless Ethernet James Stevens Introduction to BeOS Daniel Fischer c++ for Dummies ? OSSA I : Installing an Icecast Server Robert Geus OSSA II : Installing a Darwin Server Robert Geus Introduction to Keystroke ? Introduction to Imagine ? How To Install an ORANG Server ;-) ? Dyne.org I: Introduction to Dynebolic Jaromil Dyne.org II: Introduction to MuSe August Black / Jaromil Honor also added some great ideas like maybe a Introduction to Climbing workshop by Heath Bunting and maybe some other non-screen based workshops It could be nice to open the workshops with a series of short presentations about the workshops themselves so those wanting to attend could get an idea of what was on offer....
