Marina Grzinic (si) / www.ljudmila.org/quantum.east / (margrz@zrc-sazu.si), lives and works in Ljubljana, as researcher at the Institute of Philosophy at the ZRC SAZU (Scientific and Research Center of the Slovenian Academy of Science and Art), freelance media theorist and curator. In collaboration with Aina Smid, has produced more than 30 videos, a short film, installations, websites and an interactive CD-ROM. During 1997-98 academic year, she got the Postdoctoral Fellowship of the Japan Society for the Advancement of Science in Tokyo. Her last book is Fiction Reconstructed. Eastern Europe, Post-socialism and The Retro-avant- garde, Edition selene in collaboration with Springerin, Vienna, 2000. She edited a book on Stelarc (in print, 2002, published by Maska, Ljubljana and MKC, Maribor).
