Media Art Project

During the two weeks in Great Eastern Hotel, 2 channels on in-house TV network will act as a platform for showcasing work of contemporary video and new media artists.

Using specially designed player soft wear for open source combined with home TV set - Ambient TV is look in to near future. Arrival of high speed connections /ADSL/broadband and developments in new media in one way or another will bring the changes in our work space as well as in our private homes.

Ambient TV streams live many independent on line art, film, documentary works as well coverage of live cultural event from all around the world.

Ambient TV project is perceived in collaboration between new media artist groups: Ambient Information Systems (London), Backspace (London), Desk (Amsterdam) and Radio Qualia (Amsterdam).

Programme: Live streams (open source) and live broadcasts from Ambient TV studio in Great Eastern Hotel - live actions, interviews and opening party event.

Pre-recorded, approximately 2h -3h, VHS Could be played for hole day or screened only 3 h every day dependently on the control access.
